Yes, I am aware that there is a lot of black. I don't know why. These are just the pieces that have caught my eye!
Maxi dress with a frill: This dress is very similar to the one that I have recently bought from River Island. I don't need it. I probably won't buy it. It doesn't stop me thinking that it is cute. River Island have now released my maxi in plain black and, I'm not going to lie, I'm a tad annoyed. If they had black when I bought it I would probably have gotten that. Oh well, I do love my tie dye dress.
Maxi dress: This dress has beautiful detailing. From the floral embroidery on the top and the v-neck with spotted net it just looks so interesting! It's bit more unusual and if I needed another black formal maxi dress I would get it (it's only £35!) However, I don't need another black maxi and when would I ever wear it? Answer - it would probably sit in the back of my wardrobe looking pretty.
Patterned kimono: I really, really, really want a kimono jacket. Sometimes in a lecture theatre it is too hot for a coat/cardigan but too cold to just have bare arms. A kimono fixes this problem. This is probably one of the nicest printed kimonos I've seen - and one of the best prices too! However, I don't know if I just want a plain black one instead. I need to have a look at this one in store and see how nice the pattern actually is. It might help me make up my mind.
Super-stretch treggings: I really want a pair of leather trousers. I don't know why. Surely they can't be that comfortable? I'm really not the shape or size to wear them either. However, that doesn't stop me wanting a pair and with H&M advertising these ones as 'super-stretch' I can imagine them being a bit more comfortable. They are only £12.99 - how cheap is that?! Maybe I need to make an order online....
Patterned blouse: I cannot decide whether I like this in the cream or the black. I love the pattern on the shirt - it reminds me of old fashioned slippers - and I love the price even more! It's only £9.99! If I see this in store I will definitely pick it up. If I have some kind of discount online, I'll definitely pick it up. Can I be bothered to pay for postage? Not really. It puts the price of the top up by 1/3. It is so lovely though and it just needs to be paired with a pair of jeans and loafers.
Jersey top: I have always looked to H&M for basics like t-shirts. I wasn't too keen on their vest tops a couple of seasons ago (I had a white vest top which was majorly see through and it had a really high, unflattering neckline). However, this vest top looks like it is a much better material and has a better neckline too. I'll definitely try it on before I buy one but these vest tops could sneakily be making their way into my wardrobe.
Wraparound blouse: It seems everyone on the high street from Topshop to Oasis are doing these wraparound blouses. I saw this in store and they didn't have my size so I looked online and my size is sold out. However, I'll keep an eye on this one because it is such an interesting style for a blouse. I love the wraparound style and I have a thing for stripes right now. It's £19.99 but if I am going to wear it to death - I really don't mind!
Chambray blouse: Again, I can't decide on the colour I want. I do love a good stripe but the blue chambray shirt is a classic! This blouse is only £12.99 and again, is a super versatile wardrobe staple.
Jersey dress: This is just a black jersey dress but they are so handy to have! I can wear it with shirts, cardigans, a kimono, on it's own - with anything! It's £7.99 and has an interesting neckline too. Of course it is sold out in my size but again, I'm keeping my eye on this one. It's lovely!
Jersey dress: I have recently been trying to wear clothes that are a bit more classic rather than following the rock/punk trend that everyone seems to follow. It just makes me remember my lovely times in Year 10 and 11 at secondary school where people were constantly making fun of me for wearing rocky clothes with eyeliner whilst listening to 'rock bands'. Now it seems you can't get away from band tees, skulls and super skinny jeans. Anyway, I couldn't help but like this dress - it has a cat on it! It's reasonably priced at £12.99 and very similar to the one Topshop sold last year for a fraction of the price. I will say, sure, the Topshop version was much nicer but it was £10 more expensive!
Imitation leather skirt: I am in need of a new black skirt and this one is only £14.99! Hopefully it'll be quite structured but you can't tell that from the photo unfortunately. I would be a bit wary of getting a skirt like this. Sure, it is flattering and versatile but it seems every girl in the whole of Essex has one of these skirts. It isn't what you wear but how you wear it - but still. It is a bit lovely.
So here is my wish list from H&M! I tried to stop but I just couldn't. Have you had a look at the new season yet? What have been the stand out pieces for you?
Rachael xoxo
