Revlon Moon Candy nail enamel review - Galactic (210)

Again, this was written when these polishes were just released. I feel awful not uploading them earlier. Let's hope my exam results are worth it (ha?).

Recently Revlon have released a large collection of two sided nail varnishes. This includes the neon, nail art and moon candy ranges. I picked up this duo – galactic – for $8.99 in Walgreens (it’s cheaper in Target but I got 50% off) and tried it out last night.

The base colour is a very dark navy. It is incredibly opaque and I needed just one coat to give a good colour. I assume this is because otherwise it would run out before the glitter and then it seems like a waste perhaps? The top coat, which is very thick, it full of blue, teal and silver holographic glitter and these compliment the base colour perfectly.

Revlon Moon Candy nail enamel in Galactic: excuse the nail varnish (it's Barry M - not revlon!)

Revlon Moon Candy nail enamel in Galactic: the colours compliment each other perfectly!

Revlon Moon Candy nail enamel in Galactic: blue as the ocean (okay, as blue as my Grandad's pool)

Basically – the colours are perfect (and blue is a huge colour on the catwalks right now).

I hate to moan but the staying power of this product is ridiculous. Like I said, I applied it one night and by 11am the next day huge chunks had ripped away from my nail. This could be due to my base coat – maybe it would be better with a Revlon or more expensive base – but that is no excuse.

In conclusion – the colours are gorgeous. The staying power is ridiculous. Buy at your own risk (the colours are THAT nice).

Anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

Rachael xoxo
