L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash review - Romy (102)

Hey guys! I bought this lip gloss about a month ago during the Superdrug 3 for 2 and I still haven't written a review! Here it is!

L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash in Romy - slightly darker than my lips (but not quite my lips but better)

Recently I have been making my eyes the focus of my make up with dark eye shadows. Therefore, I needed a barely there pink. I was umming and errrring about whether to get this lipstick and eventually gave in and picked it up. I am still undecided on it (and I've had it a month!) but I can tell you it's a weird little product!

The formula was the first thing I noticed about this product. When you first apply, it feels like you are just applying water to your lips. It is the strangest thing I've ever experienced (well when it comes to lip products). If you leave it 30 seconds or so, the lip stain somehow thickens up and darkens in colour. It is strange. I remember being annoyed when I first applied it because it had no colour what-so-ever and all of a sudden my lips were darker. It's like a magic trick!

6H stay power? I'm not sure I could agree with that. Yes, it does last quite a long time but it is so similar to my lip colour already that I can't really tell it is on when it is. However, the next morning after I swatched the lipgloss the stain was still on the back of my hand (I should have washed it off but I didn't. Oh well!). So yeah, that's pretty good staying power. It just doesn't have much impact on my lips unfortunately. At least it isn't really sticky!

Okay, so the colour is okay. The formula is strange but interesting. It's easy to apply but it just doesn't have the impact I wanted it to. It is very similar to a couple of the Luscious Liquid Lipsticks I have from e.l.f. which are about 1/7th of the price of this lip stain.

Would I get this lipgloss again? No - I wouldn't. It isn't the colour I thought it was and I am not a lipgloss person generally anyway. Will I use the rest of this up? Probably - it's not a bad lip gloss.
